We were “Waiting for Kingston” not too long ago and now the King is HERE! This little bundle of joy was all smiles. He was so peaceful during his entire shoot. I think he wins the record for shortest newborn session with no tears (from him or me)! I had an awesome time with him. Thanks for sharing him with me mom!

I had such a ball with these two..I mean three. Usually it takes awhile for daddy to get warmed up to all this photo shoot “stuff” but this daddy was a natural comedian. But I was time enough for HIM! Yes indeed! Baby Ninja (their name not mine lol) is going to have a belly full of laughs coming outta the womb I tell ya. But it was great because they were down to try ANYTHING, even running back and forth from the middle of the road dodging traffic just to get a shot in front of a funky bridge. Gotta love em! I wonder how they’re gonna react when I tell them I want to put Baby Ninja in a crate and shoot him/her in front of that same bridge. LOL I’m…JUST…SERIOUS!

Fly family times

I just love this family. Every time I see the girls I know I am in for a treat, so when I finally got the opportunity to photograph mom and dad I knew it was gonna be an even greater time! Boy was I not disappointed. This family had so much flava and coolness I didn’t want it to end. They were down for anything, even creepy barns that looked like Norman Bates and his mama lived in the house on the hill. But it was all worth it. I swear if Vogue had a family issue they would make the cover.

Thanks Roberts fam for making our time together so much fun and making me turn my swag game up a notch or three! Love ya!

The last time I saw this little doll we were celebrating Independence Day and now she is truly showing her independence. She just couldn’t keep still. Had to show me how fast she could crawl away from me or towards me to grab my camera. Then she just had to show off and show me how she could pull up on furniture and walk around if she wanted to. Such a show off Thanks for coming to visit me again mommy and little “R”. Next time I see you I’m sure I will be chasing YOU through the park with my camera!

Recently I had the chance to photograph a real life Cabbage Patch Kid. Oh I am so serious. To the point when I undressed her to put her in my baby basket I had to check to see if Xavier Roberts was indeed scribbled on her buns. But fortunately it wasn’t. She was so scrumptious and delicious and oh so much fun. So alert for a newborn she fell in love with me at first sight as I did her. So in love that she felt comfortable peeing in my hand. Comes with the job I guess.

Mom, thanks so much for trusting me with your living doll. It was truly an honor and a treat!

Be Mine ~ Valentine’s Day Mini Sessions

Feels like Christmas was just yesterday and wam bam boom Valentine’s Day is around the corner! I have had several of my past clients ask me about doing Valentine’s Day mini-sessions. It was not something I planned on doing, but since my clients are so good to me, I decided I would return the favor. So…here’s the deal. There are ONLY 7 sessions available, these are 20 min sessions so only 4 people per session (additional folks are $10 per person). There will not be time for any clothing changes and the location is predetermined by me. Once you book your session I will share all of the secret sweet details of the setup etc so we can make sure you are dressed perfectly for our play date! Don’t think for a minute that this is just for the kiddos. Heck, you’ll be the coolest kid at work passing out Vday cards with your gorgeous face on it! This is perfect for couples, families or even single folks who just feel like being fabulous!

Holidays are always nice because you get together with family from all over the country and just chill. Simply enjoy one another. For the short amount of time that you are together it just seems to refuel you until you meet again at the next event. What makes it even richer is when you have an opportunity to have those memories documented to save for generations to come. Isaac called me, from an awesome recommendation from the uber talented, ever colorful Beth Jansen, and said that it’s not often that his entire family can get together all at once and he wanted to take advantage of this time and take a group photograph. Well you know I just can’t take one picture so we made the most out of it! Not only were they gorgeous but so much fun. I even had the chance to meet and photograph the beautiful LaChanze. I knew she looked familiar. I had a chance to see her on Broadway in Oprah Winfrey’s The Color Purple , where she won the Tony Award for best leading actress in a musical among many other things. You couldn’t even tell how we were freezing our butts off from the looks on their faces but it was oh so worth it. Made working with this large group a cherished experience as they made me feel like part of the family.
