Be Mine ~ Valentine’s Day Mini Sessions

Feels like Christmas  was just yesterday and wam bam boom Valentine’s Day is around the corner!  I have had several of my past clients ask me about doing Valentine’s Day mini-sessions. It was not something I planned on doing, but since my clients are so good to me, I decided I would return the favor. So…here’s the deal. There are ONLY 7 sessions available, these are 20 min sessions  so only 4 people per session (additional folks are $10 per person).  There will not be time for any clothing changes and the location is predetermined by me.  Once you book your session I will share all of the secret sweet details of the setup etc so we can make sure you are dressed perfectly for our play date! Don’t think for a minute that this is just for the kiddos. Heck, you’ll be the coolest kid at work passing out Vday cards with your gorgeous face on it! This is perfect for couples, families or even single folks who just feel like being fabulous!

  • Mini sessions last 20 minutes and are ideal for smaller families or updated portraits of the kids – perfect for getting the latest family picture for your holiday cards! We can actually take quite a few shots in that time frame and try to get as many posed and natural looking shots as possible in that time frame. We move quickly, so please ensure you arrive 10 minutes before your session starts so we can get going on time. We cannot make up for time that is missed
  • Mini sessions are limited to individuals and families  of 5 or smaller. If you have a larger family, we recommend you book a full session so we can accomplish all the different shots typically needed for larger families. But couples, singles, friends etc. are more than welcome to join us!
  • Sessions are booked on a first come, first serve basis. All bookings do require full payment to hold your spot. When you book, we will send you a contract, more details, tips for what to wear and shoot location and parking details.
  • The session will include 25 Holiday cards as well as 10% off a la carte items like these signature wall art pieces that hang in my studio!

Hi everyone! We're so excited to introduce our first ever mini session ….a special just in time for Valentine’s Day! To make it even sweeter, all, yes I said ALL proceeds raised will go directly to an orphanage in Haiti that a dear friend-client of mine is in the process of helping to rebuild after the earthquake. If you have been keeping up with the blog the last few weeks, you will remember that I had a chance to visit Haiti and as a result of the devastating earthquake I just want to do all that I can to help them to rebuild.  

These mini sessions will be abbreviated 20 minute sessions with 10-20 images
posted for you to view in an online gallery the very next day!  The images will be creatively fun, as usual,  and capture all of you and or your child’s wonderful expressions.

The session will include one 8×10, two 5x7s and you can choose between custom designed 4×5 double sided Valentine Cards (20) OR
a 10×20 “LOVE”  collage. Your child will be the coolest kid in the school with custom Valentine's Day cards with their beautiful image on it. How cool is that! The collages are
perfect for those of you who might not be handing out cards or want
something to brighten up your desk space at work…they are also the P-E-R-F-E-C-T thing to surprise dad (or mom!…HINT HINT) with on Valentine’s Day!!:)

Sessions will be offered one day only….Sunday, January 31st, 9am to 5pm! Location and more details will be sent to you upon inquiry.  Only 10 SESSIONS

Here at The Captured Life are doing a new thing. For those of you who are asking.."Hmph, what's so special about an iPhone. It's just another fancy phone." We would  like to
thank ALL of you who submitted an entry for this wonderful contest. We see that
photography  means an awful lot to an
awful lot of people.  There were some very heartwarming and touching entries and we had such a good time reading them all but we had to choose a winner…And  the winner is…Lauren Robbins from Lithonia, GA!!!  Woooo Hoooo!!! Here is her entry:

"Photography to me
means shared remembrances of good times and not so good times. Photography
allows me to go back in time and smile all over again.  Sometimes
photography will lead me shed a tear. Photography brings people together at different
points in their life and allows them to share.  Photography allows me to
see my flowers in bloom during the dead of winter. Photography to me allows
sharing of major milestones in our history. Photography to me is sharing in its
