Holiday Photo Playdate

Isn't it nice to get all dressed up for holiday photos. Well this family took it to the next level. We had a ball getting all dolled up and cuddling with mom and dad but the real fun came when it was time to take all the pretty stuff off and just have some playtime in the backyard. This was truly a play date. What a way to bring in the holiday season.

When the first photo looks like this you know you're in for a treat!

Growing up is so much fun!

I had the pleasure of photographing this little one when he was days old and I love to see them at 1 and they are on big boy status. Mr. Independent he is. I just couldn't keep up with him. He's not even one yet but in his own mind he is far beyond it!

Thanks mom for allowing me once again to have a playdate with your baby boy…Oops I mean your BIG boy!  Here's to the big 1.

This is him as a newbie

Check him out now!

Penny for your thought?

The joys of being 10

So over the weekend I had the pleasure of celebrating my one and only baby girl's 10th birthday. Such a joy to look back and see how God has turned her into this beautiful, strong, smart wonderful girl. Part of tradition is that we always do a photo shoot on the kids birthday's but this Saturday it was POURING. I mean raining cats and puppy dogs so I knew there was no way she would want to do the shoot in this weather. Uh UH! Miss thing had her outfit laid out and ready to go. Rain or shine we were going to shoot! So I do what any good mother would do…. I get my big umbrella and off we go to play in the rain.

Happy birthday my beautiful baby!

Can't get this pesky umbrella together!

Forget it who needs an umbrella when you have liquid sunshine!

These boots were made for walking….in the RAIN!

Some call it blessed

I know I have been M.I.A. from Mr. Blog for awhile now and before I go into my long letter of apology I decided to start off on a good foot! I am so honored and most of all truly blessed to be able to do what I do. I must have the best job in the world but what makes it so good are all of my wonderful clients turned friends who make it all worthwhile. You all allow me into your lives to capture the most treasured moments of your lives and it humbles me to think that you choose me to be a stitch in time. I am floored by the letters, cards, emails treats:-)I get from my clients just to say thanks and how much it means to them. I love it when I visit a client to drop of an order and the kids are so happy to see the picture lady and give me hugs and show me their new toys. It brings me joy.  I post these notes and cards on my inspiration board as it gives me that extra push I need sometimes when pulling those all nighters and reminds me of yet another reason why I do what I do and love it so much. So, with that I say thank you as I strive to continue to be an added blessing in your lives as I use my talent to make time stand still in your for the many generations to come…Salud!

and because a post is no good without a photograph here is a quick one of my inspiration board taken with my trusty iPhone.

Peace…Love…and Awesome Newborns

Early this week the coolest little newborn mozied into the studio to have photographs taken. Now only being a little over a week old and weighing in at a little under 8 pounds he didn't have much to say out of his mouth but boy did he have a lot to say with his body language. He must have known about my inner flower child. Here's to the coolest newborn dude around….Peace..Love..and Happiness.

Mom, thanks so much for trusting me with little "j". He rocked my world and I can't wait to watch him grow!

This was just too much for me!

Showing me his muscles.
